Interregional experience exchange groups and networks

The regions are sharing knowledge and experience with each other. This happens informally through the regions exchanging written material and briefing and sparring with each other. More formal and systematic knowledge sharing between the regions is taking place in a number of experience exchange groups and networks.

Contact group for hospital investments

The regions discuss relevant topics in the area of hospital construction. The members in the contact group consist of the region's central construction managers and managers from the health staff or planning units. Danish Regions is the chairman of the group, which meets approximately every two months. Contact person: Christina Carlsen, Danish Regions.

Construction manager group

This group has existed since the days of the counties (before the regions were formed). The aim is to share knowledge and create a network in relation to hospital construction. The group focuses on particular areas in turn and discusses relevant topics in the area of hospital construction. The group is made up of the regions' construction managers and meets about four times a year. The group draws in people with various skills as the need arises, such as people with financial management skills or local project managers. The regions take turns to hold the chairmanship. Network for construction in the area of psychiatry

The network for construction in the area of psychiatry was established at the prompting of the regions' psychiatry directors. The aim of the network is learning and knowledge sharing, so that the regions can draw on both the good and bad experiences of others. The network also exchanges ideas within Denmark and abroad in relation to the planning and implementation of each region's construction projects. The members are coordinators and key people within the areas of planning and construction for the construction projects in the area of psychiatry. Danish Regions provides secretariat services to the network, which meets four times a year. Contact person: Christina Carlsen, Danish Regions.

Byggesocietet's health committee

Byggesocietet is a network that strives to influence the future and conditions of the construction sector. The health committee focuses on changes to the health system in the new regions, primarily in relation to buildings. The aim of the committee is to provide a forum where experience, knowledge, ideas and visions from authorities, developers, consultants and interest organisations can be gathered and shared. The members are people from public health authorities and institutions, including regional construction managers, consultant architect and engineering companies, consultancy firms and interest organisations with a focus on the health system and an interest in the associated buildings. Energy and environment experience exchange group

The regions have jointly established this group and take turns to hold the coordinator role. The aim is to draw on each other's experiences and discuss future perspectives. The group also aims to create synergy effects between regions and draw attention to their results. The group strives to motivate sustainable building construction and operations and serves as an expert panel for the regions' construction departments. The members are employees in the regions' central construction organisations and meet four times a year. Contact person: Peter Holm, Building Department, Region of Southern Denmark.

Networks for hospital construction

During the regional network days in relation to hospital construction in Vejle on 24-25 October 2011, 11 interregional networks were formed covering key elements in new hospital construction.

These networks are open for regional employees and managers working with hospital construction to join. New members can join a network by sending an email to the network coordinator.
