Financial management

The Danish regions and federal government will be investing DKK 41.4 billion (at 2009 prices) in the coming years in 16 major hospital construction projects receiving funding from Kvalitetsfonden.

These construction projects are large and complex, and the regions are therefore focusing on joint principles for financial management and construction management within the projects.

Funds from Kvalitetsfonden will begin to be released in 2012 for the first projects, taking the construction processes into a new and more concrete phase. The regions therefore have a major focus on financial management and construction management for the projects.

Common principles for the financial management of the projects have been adopted, and there is collaboration in other areas such as procurement, construction management and outcome assessment for the investments.
